Relaxing Sauna and Summer or winter swimming

Welcome to enjoy the wood-heated beach sauna and ice swimming in Juurikkasaari, in the wonderful Lake Päijänne scenery!

Enjoy the sauna and take a refreshing dip in Lake Päijänne via our new illuminated pier.

Cold refreshing drinks for sauna can be bought upon arrival from the main building of Juurikkasaari.

Sauna is heated on Wednesdays from 3pm to 7pm during the winter and three times a week during the summer.

Sauna price 12,50 € for adults and 7 € for kids 7-12 years old. Children under 7 are free while companied by adults.

You can pay the sauna ticket at the main building when coming to Juurikkasaari, or you can pay it in advance through our Johku -online shop.

Note that this is a mixed sauna, so please wear a swimsuit. You have the possibility to swim all year round.

The lakeside sauna facilities are free to use during the sauna shift. There you will find:

- Toilet (+hairdryer)

- 2 showers (+shampoo & conditioner)

- Dressing room and spacious sauna cabinet for changing clothes.

- Peflets

The sauna is located in the immediate vicinity of the beach, so you can take a dip in Lake Päijänne either from the new illuminated pier (ladder) or via the child-friendly, sandy beach.

If you wish, you can also rent a towel from us for your sauna time for 5€.
