Canoeing around the centre of Keuruu

One of Keuruu’s premiere nature travel activities is its canoeing route, around ten kilometres in length, along the lake around the centre of Keuruu. The route is sheltered from the wind and waves and allows canoes to remain in the immediate vicinity of the shore. The round trip takes around two to four hours, and it is recommended to start at the Ahtola Harbour, Old Vicarage Shore, Keuruu City Library Shore or the Terva Pier.

Along the route, there are a wide range of services available, including a grocery store, a hamburger restaurant, a café, campfire sites, and a family park. In addition, the route passes by a variety of different sights. Along the route, you can get to know, for example, the Old Church of Keuruu during its opening hours in the summer.

The route is classified at an easy difficulty and is well suited for beginning canoeists.
