The environmental award-winning 120-year-old school building of Vihasjärvi rises in Orivesi's Eräjärvi. The original, massive log building has beautiful Art Nouveau style features. The school's spacious classrooms, teachers' apartments and idyllic courtyard buildings hide within their walls interesting stories about life in the past. A beautiful southern field landscape opens out from the corner of the school's romantic garden. Vihasjärvi's old school building and its surroundings are a unique cultural attraction.
