The sandy beaches and dunes of Yyteri are renowned for their beauty. Reposaari is an idyllic island of wooden houses that presents itself as a fascinating city in miniature. The island is about three kilometres long and half a kilometre wide. The area is also a great place to learn about local culture and history. Reposaari has a fortress park, a coastal defence system built in the 1930s. Today, the fort park is used as a recreational area. It is a good place for outdoor activities, for example for families with children, as the hiking trail is only 0.5 km long. Junnila camping centre is also located at the back of the island, and its scenery is truly unrivalled.
