Kayak Fishing in Joensuu

From Joensuu, the easiest ways to fish in Pielisjoki and Pyhäselä are with a motorboat and/or kayak. Pyhäselkä is the largest open water of the Saimaa water body, so we don't like to go there in strong winds. But with calm and light winds, its wide areas give the opportunity for the most varied fishing. 

According to the customer's wishes, we can go trolling, jigging, casting or even bottom fishing. There are good fishing spots in a wide area. The underwater rock ranges of the backwaters sometimes give large catches of perch, the banks of the shallows are especially good spots for zanders and, depending on the time of year, you can catch pike on the edges of grasses. There are numerous good fishing spots in the river delta and on the river itself.

On Pielisjoki, we paddle in pursuit of pike, pike, perch and rainbow trout.

 Our kayaking trips start from Hasaniemi, from where we head upstream or downstream, depending on the weather and the target fish species. Fishing on a kayak can include trolling, casting, jigging
