Attraction
The Ahlström Voyage exhibition displayed in an old workshop offers an interesting peek to the history of Ahlström companies and Finnish industrial history over more than 160 years.
The exhibition also presents art glass produced by Iittala, Karhula and Riihimäki- glass factories, which belonged to Ahlström- a number of unique pieces of the Savoy vase designed by Alvar Aalto, an impressive collection of Tapio Wirkkala's production and Orchid by Timo Sarpaneva.
A scale model of the Noormarkku Works area produced by Taina Pailos is located downstairs. It illustrates the size of the area and the relations between different buildings. At the exhibition, you can also take a look at the different phases of the Ahlström family and the Finnish class system in the 19th and 20th centuries.
Open tours are arranged and also private tours can be reserved.
