In May 2022, Lapland Hotels and its sister companies were awarded the EcoCompass certificate. The certificate is proof of our overall commitment to and development of environmental responsibility. To obtain it, a commitment to conserving natural resources and increasing positive environmental impacts is required.

In addition, several of our hotels, including Sky Ounasvaara, have been awarded the Sustainable Travel Finland label. STF is a sustainable tourism programme developed by Visit Finland that takes into account the economic, environmental, social and cultural sustainability of tourism businesses and destinations. Companies that complete the programme and meet the demanding criteria are awarded the Sustainable Travel Finland label
